Join MaryJo for a discussion of the latest trends, treatments and products successful designers employ to join seemingly impossible design styles into beautifully livable spaces.

Trends come and go and clients cling to personal preferences that aren’t necessarily compatible with the architecture of the home they chose to live in.  Designers have favorite styles, details and materials we love to work with.  The style of most homes calls out for some tender loving understanding.  The best designs hold the tension between being fresh and being appropriate for the intrinsic characteristics of the built space while satisfying the needs, both emotional and physical, of all the inhabitants of the home.  That’s a lot of work for every domicile, regardless of square footage!

Driven by a philosophy that thoughtful, practical and architecturally driven design improves lives, MaryJo is an award-winning designer who has built a career on providing expertise for clients to live and work well.  For over 30 years, she has practiced her skill in a variety of positions including Principal of Great Kitchens in Menlo Park, Vice President of Marketing and Lead Designer for Standards of Excellence’s State of the Industry appliance showrooms and Adjunct Professor at Canada College.

MaryJo is currently Partner in DesignCamp, RLLP, a Kitchen and Bath Design Experience in Denver, NC, consulting with residential and industry clients.  She is the author of Kitchens with Confidence, a training program designed for Lowe’s and an active member of NKBA.
